Day 1: You Have a Story to Tell
Scripture: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” — Romans 8:28 (NIV)
Devotional: God never wastes anything in your life — not a trial, a triumph, or even a mistake. Whether your story seems “ordinary” or dramatic, if you know Jesus, you have a testimony. It’s not about having a spotlight moment, but about being a witness of God’s goodness in the everyday moments. Your story matters because it reflects God’s faithfulness.
Life Application: Spend a few minutes reflecting on a time when God showed up for you — in a big way or a quiet way. Write it down. That’s a part of your testimony. Be ready to share that moment with someone who needs encouragement.
Prayer: Jesus, thank You for writing a story with my life. Even when I don’t see it, You are working all things for good. Help me remember that my story is part of Yours, and give me the boldness to share it. Amen.
Day 2: Witness, Not Lawyer
Scripture: “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses…” — Acts 1:8a (NIV) Devotional: We’re not called to win debates or out-argue others into faith. We’re called to be witnesses — to tell what we’ve seen, what we’ve heard, and what we know to be true because of Jesus. People may challenge theology, but they can’t argue with your story. Like the blind man in John 9 said, “I was blind, but now I see.”
Life Application: Practice telling a short version of your testimony in three parts: What your life was like before Christ How you met Jesus How He’s changed you Share it with a friend or write it in a journal.
Prayer: Holy Spirit, help me live and speak as a faithful witness. Remind me that I don’t need to convince anyone — I just need to tell the truth about who You are to me. Amen.
Day 3: Testimonies Are Born in Trials
Scripture: “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me…” — Psalm 23:4 (NIV)
Devotional: Some of the most powerful testimonies come out of our hardest moments. God doesn’t promise an easy road, but He promises His presence and purpose. Whether you’re in the valley now or coming out of it, keep your eyes open — this might be the testimony someone else needs.
Life Application: Think of a difficulty you’ve recently faced or are currently facing. Ask yourself: How might God be using this for His glory? Pray for someone you know who’s going through something hard, and ask God to use your experience to encourage them.
Prayer: Lord, I thank You that You never leave me alone in my struggles. Open my eyes to how You’re working through the trials in my life, and give me the courage to share my testimony to build up others. Amen.
Day 4: Testify in the Name of Jesus
Scripture: “We must obey God rather than human beings… we are witnesses of these things…” — Acts 5:29, 32 (NIV)
Devotional: The Apostles didn’t back down. Even when threatened, they kept speaking the name of Jesus. Why? Because they had seen too much not to speak. The world will try to silence you, but when you’ve encountered Jesus, the fire to share it can’t be put out.
Life Application: Where might you be tempted to stay silent about your faith — at work, online, or in a family setting? Pray for boldness and ask the Holy Spirit to open a door for you to naturally share your testimony this week.
Prayer: Jesus, Your name has power. Give me the boldness of the Apostles to speak Your name without shame, no matter the cost. Help me be a light in every place You send me. Amen.
Day 5: Overcome with the Blood and the Word
Scripture: “They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony…” — Revelation 12:11a (NIV)
Devotional: Your testimony is a weapon. When the enemy tries to discourage or silence you, speak up. Every time you tell what Jesus has done in your life, you’re participating in victory. You’re shining light into darkness. The combination of Christ’s sacrifice and your story has eternal power.
Life Application: Write out one full testimony of what Jesus has done in your life — big or small. Then pray and ask God for one opportunity to share it this month — in person, through a message, a letter, or even a social media post.
Prayer: Father, thank You for the blood of Jesus and for the testimony You’re writing in my life. Help me use my story to bring hope and light to others. Let Your name be glorified through it all. Amen.
