Food in a Backpack

First Baptist Church of Delavan is one of a “six-pack” of local churches that run the Food in a Backpack program in the Delavan-Darien elementary schools, providing food for the weekend to children at risk for hunger.  During this school year, with COVID restrictions in place in the schools, the bags are packed each week at our church.

During the summer, First Baptist provides volunteers to serve with the Andy’s Breakfast program that partners with the Delavan-Darien school district to provide food for children.
