Day 1 — Holy Beyond Comprehension
📖 Scripture: Isaiah 6:1–3; Revelation 4:8
The angels surrounding God’s throne cry out “Holy, Holy, Holy”—not once, not twice, but three times. This declaration speaks not only of God’s purity, but of His triune nature: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
💭 Devotional Thought: God’s holiness reminds us that He is both knowable and beyond knowing—close enough to worship, yet great enough to humble us.
🪞 Reflection: Do I approach God with reverent wonder, or have I grown overly familiar and casual in His presence?
🙏 Prayer: Holy God, You are greater than my understanding and higher than my thoughts. Help me to approach You with awe, humility, and worship. Remind me that it is okay not to have all the answers—only to trust the One who does. Amen.
Day 2 — The Word Before the World
📖 Scripture: John 1:1–5; Genesis 1:1–3. John opens his Gospel by echoing Genesis: “In the beginning…” But instead of introducing creation, he introduces the Creator. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.
💭 Devotional Thought: Light does not struggle against darkness; it simply overcomes it. Darkness never pours out when a door is opened—light rushes in. Jesus is that Light, and wherever He is, darkness cannot remain.
🪞 Reflection: Where might I be allowing darkness to linger instead of inviting the Light of Christ in?
🙏 Prayer: Jesus, You are the Light of the world and the Light of my life. Shine into the places I’ve kept hidden or ignored. Replace fear, doubt, and darkness with Your truth and peace. I invite You in. Amen.
Day 3 — Children, Not Just Creation
📖 Scripture: John 1:6–13. While all people are God’s creation, Scripture is clear that not all are His children. John tells us that those who receive Him—who believe in His name—are given the right to become children of God. This truth is not meant to exclude but to invite.
💭 Devotional Thought: Salvation is not about where you were born or how you were raised, but about who you have received. Grace is freely offered, but it must be personally received. Faith is not inherited, assumed, or automatic—it is a response to the revealed Light.
🪞 Reflection: Have I personally received Christ, or am I relying on proximity to faith rather than relationship with Him?
🙏 Prayer: Father, thank You for inviting me into Your family. Help me not to rely on tradition, routine, or assumptions, but on a real relationship with You. Teach me to receive Your grace daily and live as Your child. Amen.
Day 4 — The Word Became Flesh
📖 Scripture: John 1:14, 18; Philippians 2:5–8; Colossians 1:15–20. The eternal Word did not remain distant—He became flesh. Jesus entered human history, fully God and fully man, revealing the Father in grace and truth. Scripture leaves no room for ambiguity: Jesus is God. He accepts worship, forgives sins, claims eternal existence, and rises from the dead.
💭 Devotional Thought: To deny His deity requires ignoring vast portions of Scripture. As C.S. Lewis famously framed it, Jesus must be either Liar, Lunatic, or Lord. The resurrection settles the question.
🪞 Reflection: Who do I truly believe Jesus is—and how does that belief shape my obedience?
🙏 Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are not just a teacher or example—you are my God and King. I surrender my opinions, doubts, and preferences to Your authority. Help me to follow You fully, not halfway. Amen.
Day 5 — The Lamb Who Takes Away Sin
📖 Scripture: John 1:29–34; Colossians 1:18–23; Revelation 1:17–18. John the Baptist points to Jesus and declares, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” The Alpha and Omega stepped into time, suffered death, and now lives forever—so that humanity might be reconciled to God. The Holy God became the sacrificial Lamb.
💭 Devotional Thought: The greatness of God is seen not only in His power—but in His willingness to save.
🪞 Reflection: How does knowing Jesus as both God and Savior shape my gratitude, worship, and daily living?
🙏 Prayer: Jesus, thank You for taking my place and bearing my sin. Help me to never grow numb to the cost of the cross or the victory of the empty tomb. May my life reflect gratitude for the salvation You freely gave. Amen.
