A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.

We believe that reaching out in mission and service is a way to serve Christ and communicate God’s love and care, bringing others into a loving relationship with God.

Our Missions

We participate in the annual mission offerings of the American Baptist Churches – America for Christ, the World Mission Offering, One Great Hour of Sharing, and others.

The American Baptist Women’s group of the church raises funds to support a variety of mission programs such as White Cross, Love Gift, Agape Flights, and outreach to encourage residents in local senior living facilities.

We participate in the local Andy’s Breakfast Program providing breakfast in the summer in local parks for children and adults.

Volunteer teams have engaged in mission trips that range from a local work project at Twin Oaks Homeless Shelter in Darien, to work teams sent to disaster sites, to an individual member of our congregation that served on a summer mission team in Honduras.

We host an annual Helpers in Harmony concert involving local church choirs and musicians to raise funds for Delavan Human Concerns (The 14^th Apostle) and local food pantries.

We partner with missionary Jeni Pedzinski as she serves at the New Life Center in Chiang Mai, Thailand under International Ministries.

Our church serves as one of the hosting churches for the Spirit of Hope Homeless Shelter for men.

We are one of a “six-pack” of local churches that run the Food in a Backpack program in the Delavan-Darien elementary schools, providing food for the weekend to children at risk for hunger. During this school year, with COVID restrictions in place in the schools, the bags are packed each week at our church.

Loose coins placed in the offering are given to a local, national or international ministry designated that month, such as Agape House in Walworth, the Tree House Child and Family Center in Elkhorn, Open Arms Free Clinic, Inspiration Ministries, Milwaukee Christian Center, Rainbow Acres in Arizona, Widow’s Might in Mozambique, Bethania Kids in India.
