Special Event

It is time to undecorate our Christmas church.  We encourage everyone who is able to come at 9:00 am to help.  Many hands make the work easier!

We will hold our annual meeting  and potluck following worship so we encourage everyone to stay.  Members are encouraged to be present to complete the business of the church.  The potluck is a dish-to-pass and we encourage everyone to stay to enjoy a meal together.

We are now accepting orders for Easter lilies.  The flowers will grace our sanctuary, and then taken home after the March 31 service.  Lilies can be ordered in honor or memory of a loved one, or just because you want one.  We must know by March 10 if you wish to order.

One of our missions is to participate in the Blessings In A Backpack  program of the Delavan-Darien school district which mobilizes local churches to provide food on the weekends for school-aged children across Delavan and Darien who might otherwise go hungry .  The Blessings in a Backpack program continues in 2024 thanks to the generosity […]

We will be providing meals for the Spirit of Hope Homeless Shelter on Tuesday, March 26.  There are 10 men in the shelter at this time.

First Baptist and United Church of Christ will be joining United Methodist Church for an ecumenical Good Friday Service at 6:00 pm.  There will also be an ecumenical choir, joining the voices of all 3 churches.  This will be exciting and a great way to celebrate Christ's triumphant resurrection.

Sunday School classes will be replaced by an Easter egg hunt and breakfast this morning.  Volunteers will make eggs and desserts.  This is an all-church event so everyone is welcome to join us.  All children are welcome, and this includes grandchildren and great grandchildren.  All we ask is that you let us know how many […]
