8.31.25 Fruit Meant To Bless

🌱 5-Day Devotional: Living to Bless Others

Day 1 – Fruit That’s Not Our Own
📖 Philippians 1:3–6 “I thank my God every time I remember you… being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Life Application: Just as apple trees don’t eat their own apples, our gifts and blessings aren’t just for us. God is growing something in you that is meant to bless others. Look around—who benefits from your “fruit”? Ask God to show you one way today to share what He’s given you.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for the good work You are doing in me. Help me see opportunities to share my blessings with others, so that Your work in me can encourage and nourish those around me. Amen.

Day 2 – Joy in Every Circumstance
📖 Philippians 1:12–14 “Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel.”
Life Application: Paul wrote these words from prison, yet he saw his situation as an opportunity for God’s Kingdom. Sometimes our hardships are the very places God produces the sweetest fruit. Instead of asking, “Why me?” try asking, “How can this advance the gospel?”
Prayer: Lord, when life is hard, help me to see through Kingdom eyes. Use my challenges to bring You glory and to encourage others in faith. Amen.

Day 3 – Kingdom, Not Castles
📖 Philippians 1:15–18 “The important thing is that in every way… Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.”
Life Application: Paul wasn’t building his own “castle”—he was advancing God’s Kingdom. Churches, families, and individuals can fall into comparison or competition, but the true test is this: Is Jesus being lifted up? Today, ask yourself—am I building my own reputation, or God’s Kingdom?
Prayer: Father, guard my heart from pride or selfish ambition. Help me find joy in knowing Christ is proclaimed—whether through me or through others. Amen.

Day 4 – Living for Others
📖 Philippians 2:3–4 “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves…”
Life Application: Jesus came as a servant, washing feet and giving His life for us. To follow Him means living with humility and putting others first. Today, look for a small way to serve—a kind word, an unseen act of love, a moment of patience. These “small” acts bear big fruit.
Prayer: Jesus, You humbled Yourself to serve me. Teach me to live for others, not myself. Show me ways to bless the people I encounter today. Amen.

Day 5 – Shining Like Stars
📖 Philippians 2:14–16 “Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure… then you will shine among them like stars in the sky.”
Life Application: The world notices when Christians live differently—with joy, gratitude, and humility. Your attitude can be the light someone else needs in their darkness. Ask God to give you joy in the task in front of you today, no matter how small or routine.
Prayer: Lord, help me to shine Your light by the way I live. May my words, my actions, and even my attitude point others to You. Amen.
