Our Loose Coin Offering
Sept/Oct loose coin offering will go to Rainbow Acres. Rainbow Acres is a residential Christian community serving adults with developmental disabilities.

…..Organ bellow work is progressing well. Thanks to our organ fund and the work of Larry Marowsky and assistant John!
…..Helpers in Harmony will be held Sunday, November 5th.

Bible Study
The morning bible study is studying the book of Genesis on Wednesdays, 9:30-11:00 am in the church parlor.

Harvest Table
Share something out of the abundance of your garden or kitchen (produce, flowers, baked goods etc.) on the Harvest Table in the fellowship hall. There is a donation box on the table for items that you choose to take!

Food Pantry
The Darien food pantry is in need of soups (chicken, mushroom, tomato and vegetable), cereal of any kind and laundry detergent.

Christmas Shoeboxes
This is a great time to pick up school supplies for the Christmas shoe boxes since there are sales going on now for school supplies. This year the boxes cannot contain toothpaste or any type of candy.

Coffee Fellowship
Our monthly coffee hour fellowship will continue every second Sunday through May. Hosts are needed! A sign-up sheet is posted in the fellowship hall.

Food in a Backpack
Packing schedule dates at both Wileman and Turtle Creek Elementary Schools are available on the rear tables in the sanctuary. Thank you to all who participated in the community food pack to provide heartier meals for the Food in a Backpack program. Due to your generosity we have met our goal of $300 for this food pack!

Sunday School
Sunday School is back in session! Children and adult classes are offered. Join us each Sunday beginning at 9:00 am.

Usher Meeting
Immediately following worship TODAY there will be a brief meeting for all Ushers and anyone interested in serving as an Usher. The Usher’s role is important in the hospitality and worship experience of our faith community.

World Mission Offering
World Mission offering will take place during the month of October. Kyle and Debby Witmer, missionaries in Thailand, will be with us in worship on October 1st as we kick off this offering. Our goal is $800. This offering helps people around the world to meet Christ, to grow as disciples and to serve as channels of God’s love. Our congregation will have the opportunity to join hands with people around the world by participating in a 60-day global prayer. Pick up prayer guide on the tables in the back of the sanctuary.

Fall Book Study
A five session book study will begin on Tuesday, October 3rd at 6:30 pm. The book Anxious for Nothing by Max Lucado offers a prescription for dealing with anxiety based on Philippians 4:6-7. Mark your calendar! Dates are October 3rd, 17th, 24th, 31st and November 7th. We are doing a group book order so let Brenda know if you still need a book.

ABC of WI Annual Gathering-Register Now!
This year’s gathering is October 13-14, 2017 at Green Lake, WI. The theme is “Rooted in and living through Christ.” See Pastor Betsy if you are interested in joining her for this event! Please see the schedule of events posted in the fellowship hall!

Spirit of Hope Homeless Shelter
The homeless shelter is gearing up for the coming year. Thanks to Patti Arntz for again taking the role as our church coordinator. Our church will host the shelter Nov. 26-Dec 2, March 4-10, and April 8-14.

Nursery Volunteers
For the safety of our children and our church, two volunteers will be needed each Sunday to staff our nursery. Please let Rocky know if you are willing to be a secondary volunteer support person.
